    Race Name:BikeSurgeon Tuesday Night Race
    Tour:BikeSurgeon's December Tour(Schedule | Results)
arthare Wow, what a start that was. I was at 390W for like 90 seconds, losing ground, then decided I wasn't going to stick with a pack like that.December 8 2015, 8:16pm
wheelzQC Yeah ... I was creeping your results lately and that start surprised me. Good racing. I was planing a 4wkg ride...you guys !December 8 2015, 8:31pm
litespeedmarc_CT Sorry, that was pretty cheap of me, I was in the 500s to start. I new phil was there, wanted to catch him off guard before he ignited the rocket. Matt and I worked pretty well together, once we got 5-10 seconds, but alas. It wasn't enough. That was another PB night for me. AWESOME workout.December 8 2015, 8:37pm
Roy Thomas No one in in any real race has pushed 450 + for that long at start we have some supper Strong guys top 3 December 8 2015, 8:44pm
    Amenh24 Good job guysDecember 8 2015, 8:49pm
wheelzQC Marc, that was a cool move ! I liked it. @ART does the guy infront of the pack (or other racer) get a draft benefit ? December 8 2015, 9:19pm
MattVon Yeah. that was pretty fast. I think we need some longer races that aren't just drag races :)December 8 2015, 11:15pm
arthare Very front of pack doesn't get any draft benefit. In real life apparently having a guy behind you gives you a slight push (by creating a slightly higher-pressure zone behind you), but tdg doesn't model that.December 9 2015, 6:23am
    arthare We also don't do side-to-side drafting.December 9 2015, 6:23am
popstarron Not sure how you guys explode and sustain those wattages. The way this ride was mapped out, it was one long climb. All I could do was watch you pull away.December 9 2015, 7:13am
bikesurgeon Great racing last night! I did plan most of the races for around an hour for the ave racer. You guys however are killing it and getting it done a little faster. The races for December are supposed to be a little hillier than Nov and Jan even more so. Thanks for joining in.December 9 2015, 7:25am
wheelzQC What we can do, after a few weeks of Tuesday, is start doing FTP races. I wasn't the biggest fan but when we did them we were a pack for most of the race and it was a painful training.December 9 2015, 10:41am
Roy Thomas kinda wht i did lol only it was me and Art December 9 2015, 3:33pm
MattVon FTP races are more than painful... they are psychologically damaging..December 9 2015, 4:13pm
popstarron But they are also a morale booster for us common mortals. We get to run with the gods of wattage for a little.December 10 2015, 12:01pm
    thomascfurman Ditto popstarron's comment. It gets lonely after you've been dropped.December 10 2015, 12:38pm
litespeedmarc_CT Speaking as a "big wattage" guy, the problem with FTP is that they are harder! Having a good day isn't good enough, you need to have a better day than everyone else! It gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "feeling tired today" -- it may no longer be a pointless statement. But I'm ok with "FTP"... so long as everyone riding's had at least a dozen or so rides!December 10 2015, 1:00pm
wheelzQC I would be down for that. My FTP is OK at this time of the year. I'll beat it a few times but it will always be close. I don't know for the other guys of their ok with their ftp. The other thing I can do is add some weight until everyone is set with their ftp.December 10 2015, 1:37pm
thomascfurman Maybe think of FTP rides as hard, peleton rides as opposed to "highest watts win" races. Spoken as a true mid-low wattage guy.December 10 2015, 2:06pm
